Wish you could check out more books?

Loved that last book you read?  Think everyone should read it?  Then tell everyone!

Become an official book reviewer for the AST library today!  There is nothing better than a personal recommendation to get someone excited about a book so share your favorites with the school and get rewarded with extra checkouts for yourself!

Recommending books is easy:

1. Come to the library and ask for a book review slip.

2. Write a few sentences telling other students why they should read that book.

3. Give your recommendation to the librarians to put on the shelf near your chosen book.

4. Once you have written 3 recommendations in one month the librarians will grant you one extra checkout.

5. To keep your extra checkout privileges you must continue to write at least 3 book recommendations every month.

Here is an example of a successful recommendation:

Love that Dog by Sharon Creech

Everyone should read Love that Dog by Sharon Creech because the poems in the book are easy to understand and funny.  They also have a nice rhythm to them.  Jack, the main character is very likeable.  He reminded me of some of my friends at AST.
